Sandra Lynn Greeff

I am an educator with over 25 years of experience in early childhood development and remedial therapy. I have developed a passion for helping children and adolescents with learning and emotional challenges, and have dedicated my profession as an educator to specializing in neurodivergence especially in working with ASD learners. I rely on creative and innovative
methods to enhance learners’ cognitive and scholastic skills. I am also a visual arts educator and have run an art group called ‘Butterfly Art Kids’ for over two decades to the present date.
As a HPCSA registered art therapist, I have trained and practiced in the field of trauma (SAPS) and grief counseling (Hons Psych), applying psychodynamic and art-based approaches to support clients coping with bereavement and loss. I completed my masters in art therapy at the
University of Johannesburg in 2023, and published a research paper on a grief protocol that I designed and implement in my private practice. Additionally, I am the founder of ‘The Yellow Umbrella Project’ (2021), a community-based initiative that collaborates with other NGOs to provide art therapy and development services and funding to marginalized and vulnerable groups. I have recently created and designed an additional module (nine), to the Lefika La Phodiso community arts programme: ’Autism meets art’ in collaboration with Autistic ,Gifted & Awesome.
